Week 4, Thing #8
When I tried to get a Google Reader, I realized that I had already done that at NECC. That was one of the things that David Warlick had us do in his workshop. The really surprising part was that I remembered my password. Then I started looking for feeds. It didn't take long it find the five required ones, plus a couple of extra ones. I've also gotten some suggestions from a friend about other blogs that I might want to read.
I really like having all of that information at my fingertips, but the time flies when I start reading. It is really going to be a time-management issue for me. I'm not sure how I'm going to manage all of this information, but I like being able to tag the information for future use. I can also see the value of being able to e-mail articles. That makes it very easy to share information. I think that would be a valuable use of my time if I could share what I read with the other librarians in my district.
