Yahoo: What Is a Podcast was excellent. The explanations were very clear and well organized. There was also a link to a tutorial on creating a podcast.
Yahoo! Podcasts was very user friendly, with Listen and Subscribe buttons. I found many podcasts that could be used with students. I liked Booktalks Quick and Simple by Nancy Keane. It was excellent. There seems to be a podcast on just about any subject you might want. I found some wonderful podcasts, but it bothered me that there seemed to be so many inappropriate sites and such easy access to porn. I suppose that would be one benefit of using an RSS feed. The information could come to to student, rather than the student looking for the information,
I didn't spend much time using Podcast Ally (podcastally.com) when I realized that I had to download a Podcast Aggregator to listen to a podcast. I also looked at Education Podcast Network (Educational Podcast Directory). There was a good explanation of a podcast. I listened to YA! Cast and Brookline Book Reviews. I added Podictionary Weekly to my Google Reader.
I spent many hours skimming titles and listening to podcasts. I found lots of good and not-so-good ones. I was excited when I saw the ESL ones, but I didn't find anything that I thought that I would use.

Good post, Annet. You looked at totally different sites than I did, and you found some good ones. I don't know how I've missed Nancy Keane's podcast! She has quite a few for the new list of Bluebonnet Nominees, so I've downloaded them and will listen.

Yes, I am! I'm almost finished with Lesson 22 and I have already started putting my thoughts together for Lesson 23. I've also requested a site review for my blog so that librarians will be able to access it from school. The blog for librarians is also ready. We are almost ready to take the next step in the journey and it is exciting!
